Distribution Chile, Lowlands from Curico to Valapariso (similar range to that of the monotypic Puermytrans). Almost all records by Nielsen & Robinson (1983) are from the Central Valley and lower part of the eastern slopes of the Andes.
Systematics Distinct from other Chilean Hepialidae in possessing a long and bent valve. Similar in valve shape to South African genera Eudalaca, Metahepialus, and Gorgopis. A similar valve is also present in Pfitzneriella monticola.

Biology No information on immature stages. Adults are recorded from late January through late May (mid-summer to mid autumn).
